YMCA Employment Centre Brooks, along with our project partners the Government of Alberta, City of Brooks, Medicine Hat College, SPEC Association, Brooks & County Immigration Services, Brooks Chamber of Commerce, and Outcome Facilitation and Project Development Ltd, are currently recruiting businesses like you to participate in our Drive-Up Job Fair at no cost to you coming up on September 29th, 2021!!

Businesses of interest will be those who have a large number of vacancies to fill (must have a minimum of 5 positions available)will be actively recruiting for the Fall Businesses looking to add staff for the holiday season and Companies that will be losing staff due to employees returning to school or resigning.

COVID-19 has created some challenges for businesses looking to recruit employees. Through our Drive-Up Recruitment Events, you can use the expertise of our partnership group to conduct your recruitment activities in a COVID-friendly environment. Our partnership group will manage all the logistics for the event including securing a venue, set up/take down, sanitization, traffic flow, supplying event volunteers, and marketing/ promotions. Participating businesses will be situated safely behind plexi-glass barriers to conduct pre-screen interviews with applicants. The only thing needed from you as the employer is some preliminary information on what your hiring needs are, and recruiters to attend the day of the event for onsite interviews and possible job offers. The partnership group hopes that by providing a COVID-friendly environment, employers and jobseekers within the region can safely connect, with the ultimate goal of helping Albertans find employment. We do not know what restrictions will be in place on the day of our event. Please note, that if you are to register, the committee will evaluate the current restrictions come September, and those will be used to determine the format for our event and the safety measures we are required to follow.
