Work Simulation Project

Outcome ltd is offering a new Employment Program starting February 1, 2021.  The project targets anyone who is unemployed or underemployed having trouble finding and/ or maintaining employment due to a physical disability, learning disability, hearing or vision loss, medical condition, anxiety, depression or other mental health concerns, exposure to domestic violence and/or a history of addictions. You must be 18 years of age or older and not attending high school.

Participants will receive 6 months of service which includes:

  • ·         In-depth career assessments to determine aptitudes and strengths
  • ·         Job Accommodation planning as appropriate
  • ·         Learn skills to make them more employable; basic computer, resume development, interview skills, customer service, problem solving and communication skills

Once the participant has completed the assessment and training process, they will receive one to one, onsite, work simulation training facilitated by local mentors from construction, retail, food services and mechanic industries.                                                                                                                              

When work simulation training is completed, participants will attend an unpaid work experience in one or more of the four selected industries. The project concludes with joint job search with the participant, Outcome staff, mentors and workplace experience employers.

Participants can only be accepted until March 31, 2021

New Canadian Program

Outcome Employment offers an employment program which targets unemployed or underemployed new Canadians; newcomers, temporary residents, refugees, and Canadian citizens born outside of Canada. You must be 18 years of age or older and not attending high school.

Participants will receive six months of service which includes:

  • ·         Career testing
  • ·         Resume preparation
  • ·         Job search/interview preparation
  • ·         Unpaid work experience
  • ·         Employment workshops
  • ·         Pre-employment planning

Once the participant has secured employment, they will receive three months of checks in to ensure accommodations are being made and for additional support.

   This program is FREE of cost
