My name is Tracy Fyfe, I grew up in Patricia and graduated from Duchess High School. I went away for a few years, did some post secondary schooling and returned to the Brooks area in 1996 when I became the manager of the Silver Sage Community Corral. Since 2007 I have been an acreage owner in the Cassil’s area and call this community my home.
Over the years, I have been a board member of many different organizations and have always believed that it is important to give back to your community. As a council member, a representative for Division 5 residents for the past 8 years I have been able to follow through with that belief of giving back to the community.
My intentions for running for a third term on council, is this: That I remain a voice for the residents of Division 5, all the while respecting the needs of the region as a whole. Our region is very diversified and needs to be represented by someone who is willing to respect the needs of each individual area. We have agricultural, small acreage residential groupings, hamlets, tourism and industry. All very important components to our area.
Projects that I am working on currently, which I would like to see through, are the Region Walking Pathway system. Safety, recreation, mental health and economic drivers are all components that go hand in hand with this system. Also, there is the second phase of the regional water system, that we have been looking at which would allow residents who were unable to previously hook up to gain that service.
I am an individual who is very organized, flexible, pays attention to details, enjoys working with people and makes decisions based on information and with an objective mindset.
